The need for Maintenance
Electrical Maintenance is carried out for four basic reasons;
- To prevent danger
- To reduce unit cost
- To prevent pollution
The need to prevent danger is enforced by much legislation. Cost and reliability are matters to be decided probably on managerial criteria only. Protection of the environment is supported by legislation.
Balancing the cost of maintenance against the cost of breakdown generally involves managerial decisions that may be divorced from safety considerations. Here at ETTS we can help you draw up a maintenance regime to encompass your legal requirements, testing and inspection etc, as well as keeping your installation and equipment running efficiently.
We will help draw up risk assessments based on the electrical equipment in your premises. We will help you to decide on any planned replacements (e.g. regular lamp replacement regime). We will dispose of all lamps under the WEEE directive. We will help prepare all paperwork, manuals, log books etc. Following assessments, we will draw up a maintenance plan suitable for your premises.
Naturally, we are able to carry out all installation work, please ask for a quote based on your particular requirements
